Our Mission
The Southampton Association is a non-profit community organization founded in 1963 to preserve the quality of life and historic charm of Southampton Village and its environments.
Our charter states that the Association’s goals are to inform homeowners of issues affecting the general welfare of Southampton Village, to provide support to local charitable, religious, scientific, cultural and educational organizations, and to foster the preservation of the character of our historic Village.
Who We Are
The Southampton Association incorporated as a 501(C)3 in August 1963. Since then, the Southampton Association has helped preserve Southampton Village and its environs, with more than 300 full and part time residents as members.
The Association informs members and area residents of existing and proposed policies affecting our community, supports community efforts to preserve and maintain the beauty, peace and quality of life in our community.
We support principles considered essential to the community’s welfare in full cooperation with Village officials. Where necessary, we retain independent professional advisors (planning, traffic, legal) to ensure the best possible input in the formulation of government decisions.
The Association is in favor of specific design standards for new buildings, especially in the Village Center that strengthens the review procedures and the designation and preservation of historic landmarks.
Scholarship Assistance
Since 1985, we have provided nearly $ 1 million in scholarship assistance to approximately 100 Southampton High School seniors.
Unwanted Developments
