SOUTHAMPTON UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Budget Vote and Board of Education Election
Tuesday, May 16, 2017
Voting is for (2) members of the Board of Education for (4) year terms and budget.
Wording for the proposed budget:
The $68,954,600 budget would represent a 1.81-percent, or $1,223,136, increase in spending over the current year’s $67,731,464 budget. It would be paired with a projected tax levy of $55,997,906, which represents an increase of $2,321,223, or 4.32 percent, over the current year’s $53,676,683 tax levy—which would meet the state cap on tax levy increases after certain exemptions are factored in.
